Mmmmm Summer. The season everyone gets excited about until they have to put a swimsuit on for the first time in months. Well, those day are officially over thanks to these swimsuits that will make you feel like your most confident self.
Let me start off by saying that being confident in a swimsuit all comes down to finding what makes YOU feel YOUR BEST. If that means full coverage everything then great. If that means wearing a swimsuit that shows a little sand on your cheeks then that’s great too. So, to help you find the the swimsuit you’ll feel your best in this summer, I’ve broken this post up into three categories based on coverage. That way, no matter what your coverage preferences are, you can find some swimsuits you’ll feel confident in all summer long.

Kicking things off with full coverage swimsuits. These suits have got you covered in more ways than one so you can feel confident and secure wherever your summer days take you.
Yellow One Piece
Shine brighter than the sun in this yellow one piece swimsuit from Aerie. This suit has a pretty ruffle detailing near the neckline as has a tie key hole for a little something fun. The tie is also adjustable so you can customize it to fit your body perfectly. For that full coverage comfort, your booty is completely covered so there are no worries there. As a little bonus, this full coverage swimsuit is made from 80% recycled materials so you can feel good while also doing good for the environment. Huge win!
Colorblock One Piece
This full coverage colorblock swimsuit is an absolute must have if you are looking for coverage in the chest, back and booty but still want something cute and flattering. The neckline of the suit has a slight V (but nothing major), and the back comes up fairly high, similar to a normal tank top. What’s also nice about this suit is that the straps are wider which means greater support for you.
Scalloped One Piece
Who doesn’t love a scalloped detailing? This one piece swimsuit has scallops throughout the entirety of the suit making it look way more expensive than it actually is. What I really love about this full coverage swimsuit is that, in addition to the full booty coverage, the neckline is pretty straight across so it covers everything you want it to. And, last but not least, because this full coverage swimsuit is from Aerie, it comes in lengths. So if you’re on the shorter side or the taller side, there is a perfect size for you.
Tie One Piece
Okay, but can we just take a moment to admire this color? This blue tie one piece is not only stunning, but incredibly comfy. It covers the toosh completely and has a wraparound tie detailing that shows just a sliver of skin. The straps are also adjustable to make sure it fits like a glove.
Pink One Piece
Get ready, because there’s a lot to talk about with this full coverage swimsuit. Number one, the color. If this isn’t the prettiest shade of pink you’ve ever seen then I think you may be mistaking! Number two, a straight across neckline and coverage on the bottom means you can feel super comfortable as you hang around the beach. It’s important to note however that the back does have a cut-out, so if that’s a concern for you then you may want to pass. But, number three, is that the straps are both thicker and adjustable which is amazing that it has both those features. Did, I mention it’s reversible? Last but not least, number 4, get a two it one suit with pink on one side and orange on the other.
Navy Bow One Piece
I’m a big fan of keeping things affordable. However there’s nothing wrong with appreciating the finer things in life. And, when it comes to a swimsuit, I think it’s worth investing in something you love that’s going to make you feel as confident as ever. That’s why I think this navy one shoulder swimsuit from J.Crew is such a winner. It’s full coverage, but the dramatic bow detailing on the shoulder it what’s going to really spark your confidence as you strut your stuff to and from the pool. As you can see from the amazing suits above, you don’t need to splurge to find the perfect suit for you. But, there’s nothing wrong with doing so either.
Feel like you fall somewhere between full coverage and minimal coverage? There are suits for you too! These medium coverage swimsuits are the perfect happy medium where you’ll have a bit more skin showing but still feel covered.
Coral Two Piece Swimsuit
This coral bikini top is great if you prefer a two piece but want some more coverage up top. It has more of a sports bra feel to it so it’s also great if you’re the kind of girl who can be spotted playing beach volleyball on a summer day. Not only are the straps wider for more support, but there’s also a band on the bottom for that extra added support. As for the bottoms, they offer that perfect medium coverage because they are a bit cheeky but are also high rise and come up past the belly button.
Green Two Piece Swimsuit
This green medium coverage swimsuit has a similar look and feel to the one above. The top has square neckline to help eliminate cleavage but still gives you that two piece set you’re looking for. If you want even more coverage, that’s where the bottoms really come in to play. They both cover the booty and are high waisted so you get the best of both worlds. This suit is also ribbed which gives it some texture.
Red One Piece Swimsuit
Here’s where that pricier one comes in again. I like to include one in each category just to really give some options. If you are really looking to splurge on a medium coverage one piece swimsuit, then look no further. Though this red swimsuit is a one piece, it provides the medium coverage you are looking for by covering the bum and tummy while having a cutout right under the chest. The back also squares off just a tad lower than a typical tank top would so you have some more skin showing that way as well.
Teal One Piece Swimsuit
Another one piece option because you can still get the medium coverage you’re looking for all in one suit. What’s unique about this teal one piece is that it has cap sleeves giving your shoulders more coverage than normal. Though it covers a majority of what a typical one-piece covers, it does dip down in the back, cut higher on the legs and have a cut out in the center maxing it a good mix to create a medium coverage swimsuit option.
Gingham Two Piece Swimsuit
Sticking with the capped sleeves trend, this gingham swimsuit is a good balance of medium coverage if you want a two-piece option. Like I said, the top has capped sleeves to cover your shoulders as well as full back coverage. There is however a deep v in the front that shows juuuuust enough skin. The bottoms are pretty standard covering everything in the back. They are not high-waisted so it does show the tummy.
Tan Two Piece Swimsuit
This tan bikini top is basically a cropped tank top but for the water. The added length in the front assures you’ll be covered and stay covered which gives peace of mind for sure. It’s also scooped in the front and back to add some interest. As for the bottoms, they are typical bikini rise and have decent booty coverage for the perfect in between. They also have a cute ruffle detailing on the sides making them super fun and flirty.
Let me let you in on a little secret…every body is a bikini body. So, you have no excuse to not wear a minimal coverage swimsuit if that’s what going to sky rocket your confidence in a swimsuit this summer.
Blue Two Piece
You can never go wrong with a classic triangle bikini. The top is pretty standard to the triangle bikini you know and love, but the texture is what really spices this suit up. The bottoms have that same texture and gorgeous cloudy blue color but are extra cheeky to really get some sun on your bum.
Orange Dot Two Piece
A cute little bandeau is the way to go if you prefer a suit without straps. The picture speaks for itself but something to note is that Aerie does a really good job at making bandeau swim tops that don’t slide down which is key (speaking from first hand experience). The bottoms aren’t too cheeky but are low waited which I think balances the top out nicely.
Blue Floral Two Piece
Rock what you got in the unlined floral bikini top. It does have underwire for support, but has no padding if that’s you style. Pair it with the matching tie bottoms that have higher cut leg and are on the cheeky side for a flattering fit.
Yellow Floral Two Piece
Same but different. This yellow floral bikini top is also unlined with underwire with the added bonus of cute ruffled straps. The bottoms have that same fun floral pattern but show some more skin and are pretty cheeky. The combination of the two create the perfect minimal coverage swimsuit if that’s what makes you feel most confident.
Pink Two Piece
Though still minimal coverage, this pink bikini probably provides the much coverage of the six swimsuits in this category. The top isn’t super revealing due to the cinching in the middle. This little detail makes this swimsuit a great buy if you like that minimal coverage but still want to feel secure. Same thing with the bottoms. They don’t come up super high and are just cheeky enough to show a little something something.
Clementine Two Piece
Last but not least. This clementine swimsuit is a great buy for the minimal coverage look and feel you are going for. The straps on the top are not adjustable on this one but you can adjust the swimsuit using the tie in the front. It’s such a staple style while giving off a retro feel. The bottoms are a true hipster fit so they are low rise and not completely full coverage. They also tie on the sides so you can adjust the fit.
So, how many of these swimsuits are picking up this summer? One? Two? Three….? No judgement here! Here are some more posts to help you get summer ready:

What a great post! I used to live in bikinis when I was much younger (64 now!) but I still want to look stylish. This will help.
