St. Moriz Tanning Mousse
The first step to achieve a tan summer glow is the tan. And, let me tell you, this product is a true hidden gem. I started using the St. Moriz Tanning Mousse in high school because I couldn’t be spending $40+ on a self tanning product and I’m so glad I discovered this product when I did. At just around $12 a bottle, it gives such a even tan and is better than the brands out there that everyone raves about that are more that triple the price. Not only is the price of the St. Moriz Tanning Mousse amazing, but you are able to build it up to a darker tan by using the product multiple days in a row.
How I like to use it is with a tanning mitt just a couple times a week to maintain a natural looking tan, but I’ll use it more consistently if I want to look really tan for something like lake days whereI’ll be in a swim suit. I truly have nothing but great things to say about this product and regret wasting my money on more expensive tanning mousses thinking they’d be better because of the higher price point. Don’t make the same mistake I made and just stick with this guy.
Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops
I never use self tanning mousses or lotions on my face for two reasons. One, I’m afraid of looking like a clown afterwards. And two, I’m nervous how my skin will react since I have sensitive acne prone skin. That’s why I swear by the Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops and truly believe these are the best tan drops for the face. They come in three shades and add a nice tan to the face without it looking patchy or splotchy. I also don’t experience any breakouts which is even more amazing.
I use this product at night and just simply add a few drops to my moisturizer. What I love about this product is that you can customize the shade of your tan depending on the number of drops you add. For a lighter tan you can add 1-2 drops or add 3-4 drops for a darker tan. Occasionally I will use this product on the rest of my body also and love the results. However, since it is pricier, I prefer to use it for my face only and use the product above to tan the rest of my body.
Supergoop SPF Mineral Powder
We all want that summer glow, but still want to avoid looking greasy. That’s where the Supergoop SPF Mineral Powder comes in. Simply sweep it over the skin to help mattify it or even use it to help set your makeup in place. This is a great product to keep in your bag for when the summer heat is making you look more shiny than you’d like. Also, because the brush is attached to the product, it’s mess free and you don’t have to worry about a loose powder spilling all over your stuff. Let’s not forget this mineral powder has SPF 35 which is a must for the summer.
Josie Maran Tinted SPF Moisturizer
The last thing you want on a hot summer day is a thick full coverage foundation melting off your face. Instead, opt for the Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer Tinted SPF 47 Protect + Perfect. This lightly tinted moisturizer comes in one universal shade so you don’t have to worry about finding the perfect color match. In addition to the product being a chemical free SPF, it has argan oil and green tea to nourish the skin and provide anti-aging benefits. Lastly, the moisturizer contains vitamin E to help with the desirable summer glow. It’s basically the glowy skin serum of your dreams.
Fresh Tinted Lip Balm
I’m all about that popsicle stained look on the lips for summer time and the Fresh tinted lip balms make it so easy to achieve. The color coral is my top choice, but petal and punch are close seconds. These balms are super moisturizing and are also buildable so you can get as much or as little color as you want. This product has a little boost of SPF 15 so it will help protect you lips from the sun while still giving them some color.
Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand
This product has been around for a while now but has recently gained a lot more attention thanks to TikTok. Simply use the Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand and blend the product into the hollows of your cheeks, temples, nose, or wherever you want to sculpt and bronze up a bit. It may seem pricey, but a little goes a long way so you really do get your monies worth. Since this product has gotten so popular, it can sell out fast. Find it at Sephora, Nordstrom or on the Charlotte Tilbury Website.
Charlotte Tilbury Highlighter Wand
Want to know the secret on how to keep your skin glowing? The Charlotte Tilbury Highlighter Wand is the true secret to a summer glow. It’s the same concept as the product above except it’s used as a highlighter to add a gorgeous dewy look to the skin. Use the shades spotlight or goldgasm for a more golden highlight, or try pillowtalk, peachgasm or pinkgasm for some pink and use as a blush.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Ah, an oldie but a goodie! The Benefit Hoola Bronzer has been a fan favorite for years and for a good reason. This smooth, matte bronzer gives such a natural warmth to the skin but builds easily if you want something a bit more intense. It also comes in 3 shades so you can find one that works best for you. I have pretty fair skin but find that the medium shade is perfect. I like to use the product all year long to add some warmth to my skin and have no complaints. It also works great as an eyeshadow to add some depth to your crease.
Now that you have the beauty products to achieve a tan summer glow, you need the perfect dress for all your summer special occasions.
