What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year where they discount tons of great fall pieces for the upcoming season. Whereas most stores discount items at the end of a season to get rid of inventory, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale discounts some great new pieces. But, as soon as the sale ends, everything goes back to full prices. So, if you see something you like it’s worth picking it up during the sale.
What’s on sale?
Like I mentioned, a lot of new fall pieces will be on sale. We’re talking sweaters, jackets, boots, etc. But you can also expect to find activewear, beauty and home finds as well. As far as brands that are part of the sale, it really is a mix of everything. From Nordstrom’s BP. line to Barbour, you can save big on some of your favorite brands as well as some brands you normally wouldn’t shop.
When can you shop?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is broken down into 4 tiers. Depending on what tier you are in affects when you can start shopping. Here’s a little breakdown to help you out:
- Icon Early Access | July 12 – 27
- Ambassador Early Access | July 14 – 27
- Influencer and Cardholder Early Access | July 16 – 27
- Open to the Public | July 28 – August 8
You can find out what tier you are in by logging into your account. Don’t have an account? Not a problem! You can still shop when the sale opens to the public on July 28.
What if what I want is out of stock?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is known to sell out of things FAST. If you are shopping when it’s open to the public (like me), there’s a chance a lot of your favorite finds might be sold out. If this is the case, keep checking back frequently. A lot of times they will restock some things or things will come back in stock as returns start coming in. Also, if you have the Nordstrom app on your phone, you can turn on notifications to get an alert when your item is back in stock.
If you still can’t get your hands on your favorite pieces, no worries. It’s just a sale. I know social media makes it seem like you just HAVE TO HAVE certain pieces from the sale, but you really don’t. As we get closer and closer to fall, there will be plenty of fall finds for you to shop for.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Jackets
These jackets make me so excited for the upcoming fall and winter season. I have my eye on the black denim jacket from BP. And, the fact it’s under $32 is such a steal. This is also a great time to save big on a heavy duty winter coat. You can see more of those here.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Dresses
I’m an absolute sucker for a frilly dress and the Nordstrom Anniversary sale 2021 definitely came through. This cute floral dress from Treasure & Bond is under $50 and is also a great summer to fall transition piece.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Shoes
Oh my shoes! If you’re just going to get one thing from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021, it should be a pair of shoes…specifically a pair of boots. From chunky booties to a trendy chelsea boot, there are so many cute pairs to choose from that will last way beyond one season. Since boots are always in style, you can bet you’ll have a go to boot for years to come.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Activewear
Ooooo another one of my favorite categories, activewear. I’m a huge activewear fan whether I’m going to the gym or not. This is THE time to stock up on your favorites. Brands like Spanx, Alo and Sweaty Betty rarely have good sales, so this is a great opportunity to pick up something you love at a discounted price. You can never go wrong with a pair of leggings, a sweatshirt or a sports bra. I always try to add a higher quality piece to my activewear collection during the sale and I never regret it.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Handbags
Ugh okay, another great category…handbags. If you read my post on 15 things to stop buying to save money, then you know how I feel about them. So, although I won’t be purchasing any myself, that doesn’t mean you can’t! I’m loving all the neutral tones so they can go with nearly every outfit. This is a great time to treat yourself or even snag a Christmas gift nice and early for someone on your list.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Beauty
The NSale is always a great time to stock up on some of your ride or die products or to try something new. A lot of times they tag on an additional full size item or travel size item for the price of one (like the Supergoop product above). There’s also some great value sets that I think are worth the buy.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Home
Last but not least, the home section. You have probably heard of the Barefoot Dreams blanket by now and it’s always included in the sale. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, it’s the coziest and softest blanket of all time but comes at a high price. You can snag it at a discount during the NSale though. I think any of these home finds make for great Christmas presents so it’s never too early to start shopping. Between blankets, candles and pretty cheese knives, you really can’t go wrong!
