Do you find packing for a trip daunting? These international travel essentials from Amazon for packing will make your life a bit easier.
Packing Cubes
If you don’t have packing cubes by now, they are the number one way to transform the way you pack. Packing cubes are a must for two main reason. One, packing cubes help you save a ton of space. They really help compress all your clothing to maximize your space. Two, packing cubes help you stay organized while you travel. You can use one cube for tops, another for bottoms, one for underwear, etc. This is a gamechanger when you get to your destination so you know where everything is.
All packing cube sets are different, but this set also comes with a little bag for dirty clothes, a small pouch that you can use for makeup or accessories, and even a bag for shoes. This addition is especially nice so your clean clothes don’t get stinky if you are packing something like gym shoes.
Brita Water Bottle
There are a number of options when it comes to packing water bottles. Stainless steal bottles are great because they keep you drink cold or hot. These collapsible ones are also great if you are tight on space. But, I think the best option is this Brita water bottle. Why? Because it will filter your water so you can feel good about the water you are consuming. Who knows what’s coming out of those airport water fountains anyways! Get the best of both worlds with the stainless steel water Brita water bottle that keeps your drink cold and filters it.
Crossbody Bag
Pick potters are a top concern when traveling. So, it’s important to choose your purse accordingly. Your best belt is a money belt, but we will get to that next. If you have more to carry, a purse may be more ideal. I like this one because the straps are not attached to the bag with a clasp. Because of this, you don’t have to worry about the strap detaching from the bag. If you do wear a crossbody bag, I suggest always wearing the bag in the front of your body rather than the back or the side. This way, you can always have a hand over it and know it’s not going anywhere.
Money Belt
If you really want to be safe rather than sorry, a money belt it the way to go. You actually wear it under your clothes so it stays as close to your body as possible and it not visible to potential pick pocketers.
Luggage Scale
We’ve all been there. Checking our bag in hoping and praying it’s under the 50 lb weight limit. Maybe you got lucky and maybe you didn’t. To avoid being in that situation ever again, a luggage scale is an absolute must. It’s simply a scale with a hook to hang your suitcase on so you can measure the weight. That way, you know if you over did it on the packing and need to take some items out. Doing this in the comfort of your own home is waaaay less stressful than taking stuff out of your bag in the middle of the airport.
Travel Dispenser for Liquids
Store all your liquids in one simple place with this travel liquid dispenser. This travel must have can hold up to four different liquids and can dispense which ever one you choose. Better yet, it comes in a two pack so you can have a backup or share with your travel companion.
Travel Backpack
Sure, I guess any backpack will do. But, what’s nice about this one is that it has a protective sleeve for your laptop if you plan to bring it along with you on your trip. It’s also a whole lot cuter than a typical school backpack which is nice.
Luggage Lock
Something as simple as a luggage lock can be a game changer when it comes to having your trip run smoothly. This TSA approved luggage lock comes in a pack of four and protects any one from tampering with your belongings and stealing what’s inside.
Coffee Caddy
This little pocket caddy slides right over the handle on your suitcase and is a huge help at letting you be hands free. Slip in your coffee, water bottle or phone while you are on the go throughout the airport so both of your hand can be free as you navigate the airport, go through security or board your flight.
Clear Toiletry Bag
I’m sure you know this by now, but just a reminder, you need a clear TSA approved bag for all of your liquids that you plan on packing in your carry on. Sure, you can use a zip lock bag, but this one is great because it’s more durable, eco friendly and will last for many trips to come.
Under the Seat Luggage
Ever find yourself trying to squish your carry on under the seat and hope it fits? This under the seat luggage was designed to perfectly fit under the seat in front of you so you never have to worry about that problem again. This is a great luggage piece especially if you don’t plan on checking a bag at all. and just want to stick with a carry on option.
Amazon Travel Essentials Tech Edition
Noise Canceling Headphones
These noise canceling headphones aren’t cheap but are worth every penny. Whether you’re in the airport or on the plane there is always some type of noise happening around you. These headphones get rid of all the background noise so you can relax and listen to your music or show with no distractions. They are even great just to wear if you are trying to sleep and don’t have anything playing from them. These have been a lifesaver for me and I think are worth the price if you travel often and will get a ton of use out of them.
Tech Organizer
Nothing is more annoying than not being able to find the right charger or having all your cords tangled up in a mess, especially when you are traveling. Say goodbye to that problem because this tech organizer keeps everything neat and tidy. It has multiple compartments and pockets so everything has it’s own place so you never have to scramble looking for a phone charger on the plane ever again.
Backup Phone Charger
Speaking of phone charger, you NEED a backup one. This one is great because once you have the little pack charged and ready to go, you simply place it on the back of your phone to charge it. That’s right, no annoying cords to worry about.
Portable Charger
You need one of these too! A portable charger like this one is great because once it charged you can use it to charge multiple devices and not just your phone. Whether you have a laptop, camera or iPad, this portable charger is great to have as a backup for your electronics.
Travel Power Strip
This little guy is a lifesaver for airports and hotels. Sometimes there just aren’t enough outlets around or they aren’t in the best locations. This charging unit lets you charge multiple items at once so you don’t have to decide what item to charge first.
Sleep Earbuds
They may look like basic earbuds that stream music, but they don’t. These Sleepbuds strictly deliver relaxing sounds to help you fall and stay asleep, perfect for a long flight. They are also designed to fit comfortably in your ear all night so discomfort won’t be an issue like with some earbuds. These are also great to use at a hotel if you have loud neighbors are are trying to nap during the day.
Phone Holder
A must have for so many reasons. This phone holder slides right onto the airplane tray attached to the seat in front of you and holds your phone in place so you can watch all the movies you want without your neck cramping up. It’s also nice if you are traveling with kids so they don’t fight over who holds the phone.
Watt Converter
If you plan on bringing something like a curling iron, hairdryer or even laptop then this one is for you. Wattage varies over seas and you could end up burning your electronics to a crisp without a watt converter. Even if you don’t plan on bringing one of the items mentioned above, it’s good to always pack just incase.
Universal Charging Block
Not all countries have the same outlets asthe US. So, your phone charger, curling iron, etc. will be useless when you get to your destination without one of these charging blocks. The universal ones are the best because they include ports for every country in the world and all you need is just this one little block for all your travels. You can always buy these at the airport but they will be way more expensive than what you can find on amazon.
Wired Headphones
I know, I know…another pair of headphones? Yes, but hear me out. When you are flying internationally there’s a good chance the plane will have TV on the back of the seat for you too watch. And, believe it or not, the movie selection is actually pretty good. The only down side is that there’s no Bluetooth so you’ll need a pair of wired headphones to connect to the TV if you plan on watching with audio. The airline usually provides a pair of these headphones for you, but if you have a long flight it’s worth spending a few dollars on a more affordable pair of headphones from amazon.
Whew, you made it! I hope this post on international travel essentials from Amazon helps you prepare for your next trip. Whether you travel half way around the world or even just a few states over, these amazon travel essentials will come in handy.
