Have you been going back and forth lately on whether or not you should quit or job? It can be a hard decision to make but these points can help. Here are 6 signs it may be time to quit your job,
You’re Bored
If you spend more time scrolling through your email inbox than you do actually getting work done, it’s time to ask yourself if there is something more out there. Now, keep in mind businesses may have their busy and slow seasons. But, if you feel like you have too much down time over all, that’s not a great sign.
You bring the stress of work home with you
Everyone has those days where the troubles of work are carried home with them, and you can’t seem to shake the stress away. But, if this becomes an everyday thing, it’s simply not worth it. No job is worth hurting your mental health or relationships with your loved ones at home. If this does apply to you, follow these tips from Dartmouth College.
There’s no room for growth
If you feel like you’re great at your job and are ready for the next step but your company can not provide that to you, then you are really cheating yourself. Know your worth and the skills you provide. If you think you can have more responsibilities and a higher income elsewhere then start looking.
You are undervalued
It’s okay to admit to yourself the great skills and talents you bring to your workplace. Now, I’m not saying you should expect a pat on the back for every good thing you do. However, if you constantly go above and beyond and truly excel in your roll and you feel that the company couldn’t care less, then you deserve better.
You dread Mondays
Everyone feel the Sunday scaries start to sink in when the weekend begins to come to an end. But, if you dread the idea of having to go to work the next morning and lose sleep over it, it’s time to get out.
You walk on eggshells
Do you find yourself always thinking twice before you speak? Or maybe you are afraid to run into your boss? If your work environment is hostile or at all toxic, it really isn’t the place to be. This goes for management, the company culture, your coworkers, etc. It doesn’t have to be sunshine and rainbows all the time, but you should feel some level of peace and comfort.
